Amanda Chagolla is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University, She is currently working on her Doctorate of Nursing degree at Northern Kentucky University with a dissertation focused on childhood trauma. She brings 5 years of experience working primarily with the pediatric and adolescent population, along with adults, in a variety of mental health settings.
Amanda began her career in a mental health urgent care, providing immediate support to individuals and families in crisis. After that program closed, she transitioned into community mental health, where she gained extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychiatric concerns. She has expertise in managing Autism-related irritability, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Amanda’s approach to care is patient-centered, collaborative, and compassionate. She values involving both the child and the parent in treatment decisions to ensure each plan is tailored to the individual’s unique needs, goals, and circumstances. She focuses on treating the whole person—considering physical health, mental health, and life experiences—while using evidence-based practices to guide treatment.
Her goal is to create a supportive, inclusive environment where clients and their families feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the treatment process.
