Christy earned a dual Master’s degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Bowling Green State University. She currently works as an adjunct instructor for Bowling Green State University in the Human Development and Family Studies Program, and as a manager for a managed care agency. Prior to working at The Willow Center, Christy was worked as part of a team locally in developing and implementing a children’s partial hospitalization program; she also worked with children and families at a local school’s community hub partnership.
Christy has a background in working with management of stress/anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and abuse, childhood disorders, and family conflict. Her therapeutic approach is focused on motivational interviewing techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems theory. She utilizes a holistic, person-centered approach in meeting individuals where they in order to provide them with the tools and skills needed to meet their goals.
